This week we are focusing on Randa’s outreach to women around the Middle East, ‘Call Her Blessed’. Time and space do not allow us to touch on every aspect of the ministry, but we’ve pulled a few highlights from her recent letter. The last paragraph is worth reading as it speaks to the touch of God upon women who have no rights, no self-esteem, and no understanding of who they are in His eyes!
By the grace of God, CHB’s ministry was greatly blessed in 2022 and we saw many people come to know our wonderful and faithful Lord Jesus Christ. The core team of Call Her Blessed is composed of nine women whom the Lord has greatly used to grow this ministry. However, in order to expand our reach, we need to develop and train a group of women who will become part of the leadership team and replicate and innovate the work that we are already doing.
WOW (Women Of the Word) has again partnered with CHB to organize a women’s conference in the city of A…. During four full days, three very gifted and Spirit-filled speakers helped these women to redefine who they are in Christ. Using the Bible, lectures, group breakouts, the speakers helped to shape how these women view themselves. Each participant received a very ingenious bracelet, to which a new charm representing an aspect of their new identity was added after each session. This new identity is very important to these women, who live in a society that continuously represses them and informs them of who they are not. Their new identity in Christ lifts them up to a position far above anything they thought they were before. This is crucial for the development of new leaders.
