Dave and Tomo Robison
Japan Evangelical Mission Society (JEMS)
Dave and Tomo moved to Japan in 2013 to serve the coastal cities of Iwate prefecture devastated by the 2011 tsunami. When the disaster hit, there were no Christian missionaries serving anywhere in the prefecture but soon after, thousands of short-term and mid-term Christian workers came to the region. In the wake of this great outpouring of love, the Robisons partnered with a network of Japanese churches involved in evangelism, discipleship and church planting. They just returned to Japan from home assignment on Oct. 11 and will be part of church planting team in the city of Miyako.
Please pray:
- for their readjustment to Japan as they complete needed paperwork and reconnect with their partner church in Morioka.
- the church planting team, under the Spirit’s guidance, will experience true unity of purpose and methodology as they reach people for Christ in Miyako.
- for a quick and smooth transition to life, especially for the children, as they settle in their new city of ministry.
- One item of praise…Tomo became a US Citizen during her recent home assignment!
