Mark & Holly Woodard
Ethnos 360 – Papua New Guinea
The Woodards worked in the Sepik River region of PNG with a group of people who had never before heard the Gospel. Based in Mariama, they did church planting, literacy, and discipleship, and today there are strong functioning churches in Mariama and Anganamai. The past two years the Woodards have been part of a team that is recruiting and exposing the next generation to missionary work in remote areas. They continue to make annual trips to the villages to encourage the believers…
“We head to California on January 11, spend a few days visiting our support team, leave LA on the 17th, and arrive in Port Moresby on the 20th. Once through quarantine we’ll travel to the Sepik where Mark will speak at the dedication of a new church building in the Waxe village of Wenim. We’ll spend time with the churches in Mariama and Anganamai before heading to the Highlands and preparing for the team of summer students to arrive from the States.”
Please pray for the Woodards as they travel, complete their quarantine, then spend the next five to six months in their multifaceted ministry. Pray for good health, and for wisdom to address issues that may come up in the village and with the summer students. Most of all, pray they would be a blessing to the many lives they will touch during their time in PNG.
