Chad and Janeene Mankins
Ethnos 360 (NTM)
Papua New Guinea
The Mankins are involved in discipleship, church planting, Bible translation and literacy among the Tobo people group of PNG. In 2007, for the first time ever, the Tobo people heard the gospel message in their own language. In spite of local opposition and the Tobos’ indifference to the gospel, the Mankins have continued to faithfully work on the New Testament project. They are presently on leave in Texas, awaiting the delivery of their son after the adoption of three siblings.
Please pray for…
- Janeene as she continues her visits with her cardiologist, endocrinologist and high-risk pregnancy care specialist. Her ever-changing blood sugar readings need to be closely monitored and her diet adjusted accordingly. Pray for her and the baby over these final months before delivery.
- Chad as he continues editing, revising and compiling foundational lessons used in teaching new believers into one volume . The original lessons are now more than a decade old. Upon completion, it will be the fifth revised booklet Chad has produced during their home assignment.
- Ambox, a faithful Tobo man, who has recently been teaching a couple of fellow villagers. Pray that Ambox would lead them to faith in Christ and that this would open the door to others coming to Christ in this difficult area of ministry.
