Greg and Laura Melendes
Ethnox 360 – Itinerant/Oregon
Upon completion of the translation of the New Testament for the Waxe people group of Papua New Guinea, Greg and Laura entered itinerant ministry for Ethnos 360 (formerly New Tribes Mission). They still remain actively involved in the discipleship of the Waxe churches through literacy, curriculum development and personal visits. Greg also serves as an international translation consultant, providing guidance and quality control for translation projects prior to publication.
Please pray for…
- a thorough check of the Book of Acts, Epistle to the Ephesians, and Book of Ruth, the last done by a new translator.
- good health, concentration, and endurance over the long days of work, leading to a faithful, accurate, and natural translation of each book.
- safe travel to Paraguay, flying into the capital of Asuncion and traveling via a day-long bus trip to the town of Filadelfia.
- Laura as she remains home, for safety, wisdom, and no snow in Greg’s absence.
