Jeff and Courtney Hogue
WorldTeam – Asia
After a long and challenging term serving in pandemic-stricken Asia, the Hogues have recently returned to the USA for a well-deserved home assignment. Church members often think missionaries on HA are on an extended vacation, but that’s far from the case! Reuniting with family, churches, supporters means thousands of miles, often on the road. Taking care of overdue medical issues, finding a place to live, a car to drive, then, before they know it they put things in reverse and head back to their field of service. Please pray for Jeff, Courtney and their children as they adjust to a country very different from the one they left years ago…
- Good Communication. There are many changes in our family and this naturally causes friction. Pray we will continue to be mindful of each other and intensify our interpersonal communication skills.
- A renewed sense of God’s calling, ministry and vision.
- A sensitivity of American culture’s negative influence of our perception of God’s calling.
- Our ability to conceptualize our family’s future needs (next year, three years from now, five years, etc.)
- Our grieving the loss of our country of service, friends, ministry partners, coworkers, etc.
- Enrolling our children into school for the fall.
Doesn’t sound like a vacation…but do pray they will be spiritually and physically refreshed during these busy days!
