Mick brings visual excellence to the entire ministry of CRU as a graphic designer, photographer, creative consultant, and project manager. He also invests time mentoring younger leaders at CRU and through his local church. Clarice serves as field staff with CRU High School ministries, investing in young women at Edgewater High School in Orlando, FL. Her passion is helping inner city girls grow in Christ and maintaining their sexual purity.
MICK: It has been fun being stretched in new directions since I transitioned to a different team in April 2021. Not always comfortable but the challenge is a welcome one. I am now on a team of photojournalists tasked with creating photo illustrations to go along with spiritual growth stories or capturing story subjects in a photojournalistic style. There are several things I need to learn in this retooling as a photojournalist…it feels overwhelming at times, but this is where God has me now and I need to learn to use this gift to serve my new Storylines team.
CLARICE: We wanted to let you know that Clarice has transitioned back onto the Cru Inner City team in Orlando. She spent her first 15 years on Cru staff with the inner-city ministry but has served with the local high school ministry for the last eight years. It feels a little like a homecoming for her as she has always been passionate about serving families in the inner city. With most of her time going toward building into our kids and teaching two days a week at the boys’ school, she won’t have a huge amount of time to give but has loved reconnecting with inner city ministries she helped many years ago.
Please pray for Clarice’s transition to Cru Inner City and the new rhythms that come with a role transition.
And pray for Mick as he continues to move Cru Stock (Cru’s internal photo resource) forward by building into 490 photographers and hobbyists within the organization. And for his photo re-training by growing in photojournalistic skills.
