Patriot and Keli Hoxhaj
Medical Ambassadors – Albania
PCC has had a 20-year relationship with the outreach to the village of Vlocisht. After several years without direct involvement, PCC’s High School ministry revived our relationship with a trip there during the summer of 2019. When first visited the village had no male believers, yet today the growing church is led by faithful men who serve as elders. Patriot, Keli, and their partner Shelly Zadina, have faithfully ministered in Vlocisht using community health as door to evangelize the villagers. We recently received this from the team that has faithfully discipled its leaders…
We have been planning a repair and expansion project for the church in Vlocisht for two years now. The earthquake in 2019 did some damage to the church and we wanted to do some expansion at the same time we did our repairs. We are thankful to the Albanian Evangelical Alliance for helping us with a grant for the expenses for the project. Almost a year ago we applied for a building permit, and we are very grateful to report we finally received it! We will be able to start the project when the weather warms up sufficiently. Two prayer requests in connection with this project are:That we will be able to figure out an alternate place to meet while the renovation and new construction are taking place. That the funds from the grant we received will cover all the expenses of the project. The project proposal was written in 2020, and since then we have been in the process of having an architect/engineer help us design the project, applying for the grant, then applying for the building permit. Unfortunately, in that period of time, prices of material and labor have increased rapidly. Also, Keli recently had major surgery and thankfully there was no evidence of cancer in post-surgery tests. Praise the Lord for that, and pray for a quick and full recovery for her. |
