Peter & Lydia Wagura
Alive to Serve– Kenya
We are excited to be able to introduce you to our newest global outreach partners. Peter and Lydia serve from their home country of Kenya, but their ministry branches out to Uganda and Tanzania as well.
Trained as a pharmaceutical technician, Peter entered mission training in 2005, began full-time ministry in 2006, and married Lydia in 2007. They are blessed with three children, Josiah Baraka (14), Joel Fadhili (10), and JoyGrace Rehema (4).
Peter is Director of Alive to Serve, and he also oversees four village churches from different people groups as an ordained Reverend with Glory Outreach Assembly.
About ALIVE TO SERVE in Peter’s own words:
“This is an organization that I started in the year 2014 to help us penetrate many villages and places where a church tag is unwanted. Through this community-based organization we have been ministering in schools by supplying sanitary towels to needy kids and sponsoring orphan education. We also regularly feed the elderly and the forsaken as supplies allow. Alive to Serve also coordinates peace campaigns in troubled areas, aiding the reconciliation of victims of tribal and religious conflicts. Through this organization we have trained Youth Ministers in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. Muslims invest much in children ministry in order to secure the future of their religion, but for several reasons many churches in the area have neglected children’s’ ministry. So we are doing our part to fill this gap, and praying others will do their part.”
Next week we’ll give you some prayer requests from Peter and Lydia, and you’ll be seeing them here on the PCC app in the future as well. We consider it a privilege to partner with them in God’s work in Africa.
