Robert & Cirena Smith
Ethnos 360- Philippines
The Smiths recently returned to Manila after home assignment in the USA. During that time, they visited often with our PCC body, which is their sending church. They are now back into the rush of their ministry duties, which touch many lives out of the mission’s home office. Robert recently sent this update:
My apologies for not connecting sooner but between delayed flights, extra time in quarantine, and a longer than expected house hunt in Manila, we are just getting settled back into a routine here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, despite testing negative twice in the US before departing the USA we both tested positive with COVID-19 after our arrival! So rather than the usual five days in quarantine, we spent 12 days.
Cirena and I are serving primarily out of our office in Manila and traveling as needed. Please pray for Cirena as she takes on a new role as our Office Manager, overseeing our Filipino office staff in day-to-day operations. Please pray for me as I continue to oversee field safety concerns while still serving with the board of trustees at Faith Academy, where our daughter graduated High School.
Our daughter Sheila seems to be doing well although she is praying about a possible transfer to another school. Already she’s applied and been accepted to San Diego Christian College–so pray for wisdom for her as she makes this decision.
