Chris and Kristin Deckert
CRU/The Jesus Film Project – Orlando
Chris is the Team Leader of the Script Translation Strategies and Language Research Department of TJFP. He helps coordinate a new initiative to translate the JESUS Film into 865 unreached languages. His team researches and prioritizes these new languages for translation teams and works with Bible translation agencies to facilitate the translation of the Gospel of Luke. During their time in the area with CRU, the Deckerts were very involved in PCC ministries and maintain close ties with many to this day.
Praise the Lord for:
- the provision of a Mini-Van. As my family was taking care of my Aunt’s estate they decided to donate her van to us. We are so very grateful.
- the return of all Chris’ team members. The translation workshops in four regions of the world were all difficult yet successful. Pray for rest and recuperation for all of us.
Please pray:
- that the hundreds of millions of people celebrating the Chinese New year will be open to the Gospel.
- as Kristin and I will be headed to a conference in Israel next month. It is overlapping with our 20th wedding anniversary. Praise God for the celebration of 20 years together and the time in the Holy Land.
