Japan Evangelical Mission Society

Dave and Tomo moved to Japan in 2013 to serve the coastal cities of Iwate prefecture devastated by the 2011 tsunami. When the disaster hit there were no Christian missionaries serving anywhere in the prefecture, but soon after thousands of short and mid-term Christian workers came to the region. In the wake of this great outpouring of love, the Robisons partnered with a network of Japanese churches involved in evangelism, discipleship and church planting. They returned to Japan to begin their second term and are involved in planting a church in the city of Miyako.

Please pray for…

  • the Word of God and direction of the Holy Spirit will always be the basis for everything they do.
  • that the church would empower every member for ministry and be used to transform lives and relationships through the Gospel.
  • the local body will reach every person in Miyako with the love of Christ and the hope of salvation.
  • they would reproduce disciples and churches starting in Miyako, to Iwate, Japan, and the world.
