Yesterday, on March 11, 2021, at 2:46pm I was in the middle of a Bible Study with Hirokazu, a member of our church plant, when city alert system sirens began to sound to commemorate the anniversary of the 2011 Tsunami. For one-minute we paused as the sirens continued, quietly reflecting on all that this city has endured.
It was through the relief efforts of the churches here in Iwate that God called us to serve in this area. We hoped that through the Christian relief efforts God would open the doors for new churches to be planted which could continue to minister to the people living in these cities. Now 10 years later we see that happening.
