Ethnos 360 – Itinerant

The Waxe Churches were planted by Greg and Laura  and another couple in the 1980s and 1990s. The churches have grown within the language group, but its leaders have also blessed newer churches from other groups in the Sepik River Basin. Last year they completed an evangelistic outreach to a small down river language group in Mugumute. Several came to Christ before PNG COVID restrictions forced them to interrupt teaching. But the leaders recently sent this message…

We want to let you know that Alex and Joshua just completed their first week of teaching the post-evangelistic phase in Mugumute. Also, back in Wenim, Adrian, the elders, and their wives have been holding a course on marriage and have been having very honest discussions about their own shortcomings.

Please pray for the people of Mugumute to continue to pursue God in ways that will lead to a solid church plant in the village. Also, praise God for the maturity and growth of the Wenim leaders, who are addressing issues previous generations of Waxe never dreamed of discussing!
