The Balls serve as Directors of Resource Development for the International Leadership Foundation (ILF), a subsidiary of Cru International. In this role Jerry and Kathy raise resources in the USA and train people in African nations to raise resources locally. The ILF began in Africa to train Christ-centered leaders of integrity who in turn will bring holistic transformation to their nations, and has since expanded to Eastern Europe, South Korea and Latin America.

- for two sets of critical meetings: Africa Leadership Team on Feb 10-11 and LADS Alignment Consultation on Feb 12-15.
- for clarity, conviction, and standardization on mission, vision, strategy, and curriculum to be used in training.
- that current ineffective paradigm cycles of cultural leadership development be broken so youth of today are not left to grow with the same problems as their parents.
- that young Africans understand how to change towards a better future by leading with Christ-centered principles.
