The Balls serve as Directors of Resource Development for the International Leadership Foundation (ILF), a subsidiary of CRU International. In this role Jerry and Kathy raise resources in the USA and train people in other nations to raise resources locally. The ILF began in Africa to train Christ-centered leaders of integrity who in turn will bring holistic transformation to their nations. ILF has expanded to Eastern Europe, South Korea and Latin America. They recently passed on these requests for prayer:
I am currently mentoring via Zoom the head of ILF in Africa and the head of ILF in Latin America, helping them be successful in raising needed funds. Pray that they will continue to make this a high priority and that they will be successful in raising funds.
The resource development manual that we use needs to be translated into French, Spanish and Portugese so staff in Francophone Africa and Latin America can be trained. Please pray that the translation work will be funded quickly and that the translations will be completed by September 1, 2021.
We have new neighbors – please pray that we can discern where they are spiritually, and can present the Gospel to them.
One of Kathy’s sisters, Phyllis, a Believer, is dying of cancer. Please pray that the Lord will use her illness to draw siblings and their spouses to Himself.
We are traveling to Texas in late July to attend a life celebration of a family member who died of COVID-19. Please pray for opportunities to share the Gospel with his unbelieving family.
Please pray for our seven grandchildren to know Jesus more intimately.
