Stef & Christy van Meerveld – Global Soccer Ministry – Dallas
The van Meerveld family changed ministries and locations this past summer, moving from Ohio to Dallas . Starting over is never easy, but God is already providing them with great opportunities to serve through local churches and community centers. Here’s their recent report on their first camp of the summer…
It has been a great 5 days of soccer fun in partnership with a local church in the Dallas area. The 48 campers in the ages 4-12 developed as players and as persons around the theme: Sparks from 2 Timothy 1:6-7. It was wonderful to see campers who have never played the game before and others who have gel together for a week of growing and learning in a safe Christian environment. The partnering church has already expressed a desire to do the camp again next year. It was wonderful to see how different coaches came together to make this Ignite Soccer Camp happen. From Head Coaches to Assistant Coaches it was a group of unique people coming together with a heart for God and people through the platform of soccer.
Please pray that the spark of the gospel will ignite in the hearts of these campers, and in the hearts of other campers taking part in the program throughout the summer.
