David and Tomo Robison

Japanese Evangelical Mission Society (JEMS)

Dave and Tomo moved to Japan in 2013 to serve as missionaries among the coastal cities of Iwate prefecture devastated by the 2011 tsunami. When the disaster hit, there were no Christian missionaries serving anywhere in the prefecture of Iwate but soon after, thousands of short-term and mid-term Christian workers came to the region. In the wake of this great outpouring of love, the Robisons partnered as long-term missionaries with a network of Japanese churches involved in evangelism, discipleship and church planting. Upon their return from home assignment, they will be part of church plant in the city of Miyako. They have three children, Titus, Felicity and Silas.

Please pray for:

  • God to bring together a faithful and unified team to plant the new church in Miyako.
  • Tomo’s citizenship application to be approved in a timely manner.
  • God to supply the needed additional prayer and financial partners to support our ministry.
