Harold Sala, along with his wife Darlene, founded Guidelines International Ministries in 1963. In addition to his responsibilities as board chairman, Harold writes and produces Guidelines—A Five-Minute Commentary on Living, speaks locally and internationally and is a popular and respected author. Darlene also is an internationally recognized author and speaker who has touched many lives. Turkey’s Radio Shema has been “the sound of love and peace” in Ankara for over 15 years. This ministry partnership will strive to reach Turkey’s 77 million people, 1% of whom have never heard the gospel! God has also allowed Guidelines to start four other stations in places where there is no Christian voice.

- God’s blessing on the current production of their audio devotional, Guidelines for Living, in 16 languages, including Arabic, as they move into Muslim-majority countries.
- God’s protection for their partners in the US and around the world as they broadcast spiritual encouragement. Some of them work in dangerous conditions to reach ethnic minorities in remote areas and are often threatened by radical non-believers.
- God’s financial provision for the work of creating audio programs that bring the hope of the Gospel to those who are unreached, new to Christianity, or living with persecution.
- God’s direction as they pray and plan with their radio partner in the Balkans regarding planting two community radio stations that will share the hope of the Gospel with the unreached of Macedonia.
