DISCIPLESHIP JOURNEYS WITH JESUS – OCEANSIDE

Mark, who served several years as Vice President of Dynamic Church Planting International, launched DJJ in 2016. His vision is to take one-half million people through discipleship journeys in Scripture. There is one weekly lesson over a one year period, and each lesson has a practical application to put into action. Since its founding DJJ has expanded into several counties and has had its materials translated in several major languages around the world.

Translation is always a challenge but the Lord has provided solid, skilled believers who have filled this important role alongside DJJ. Here’s what’s been going on in this area…

We have just released lesson sets in  two more languages. Kirundi is a Bantu language spoken by over 11 million people in Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Rwanda. Kirundi is Burundi’s national language.

Another language that is part of the translation project is Runyakitara, also a Bantu language. It is unique in that it was created in the early 1990s as a hybrid and standardized language. It is a combination of four other languages, Kiga, Nkore, Myoro, and Tooro. Over 5 million people speak this language in Uganda.

Please pray for the wide circulation of the lessons in these two languages. And pray for translators who are nearing the completion of two more languages for use in the country of India, Telegu and Oriya. We are hoping to put these into circulation in the very near future!
