The Centers are a unique international network of evangelical cult research and education agencies whose main goal is to equip Christians in the developing world for discernment, the defense of the faith, and cult evangelism. While a number of ministries seek to fulfill this biblical mandate in North America, there are next to none in the developing world, where many cultic movements are growing most quickly and with the least resistance. It is this need that the Centers were founded to meet.
Tomorrow, October 29, Founder and Director Paul Carden will be traveling to Uganda to meet with and train church leaders to recognize and counter cult activity in their areas of the world. Paul sent these timely prayer requests for us to join him in ministry…
Due to family illness and Covid, this will be my first trip to Uganda in three years. By God’s grace, many wonderful opportunities are opening for us, and we need great wisdom as we move forward.
Top priorities:
• In-depth training and strategy meetings with ACFAR Director Rodgers and our ACFAR team in Kampala
• Planning with key ministry partners coming from the U.S. and South Africa
• A proposed East Africa regional apologetics conference in Spring of 2022
Please pray with us for God’s direction and protection. Uganda is still under partial Covid restrictions (including curfew), and crime and terrorism in Kampala are concerns.
We will circle back with Paul upon his return to see how these prayers were answered!
