Matt and Casey Friedberg

Water of Life – Cambodia

The Friedberg family has served in Cambodia since 2008. They desire to see Jesus Christ free those who are held captive by the fear of folk Buddhism and ancestor worship. Cambodia suffered a horrible civil war and genocide at the hands of the Khmer Rouge from 1975-79, and though 40 years have passed, those horrors continue to affect all society. Matt has been involved with discipleship among the urban poor, and he currently oversees the Shelter of Peace ministry, which consists of student dorms and an outreach center. Over the past six years, Casey has helped run a clinic for sex-trafficked women, looking out for their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.

Please pray:

  • the Shelter of Peace dorm students would grow in their faith and hunger for God’s Word.the Holy Spirit will protect and do a work in the lives of the students while the Friedbergs are on home assignment.
  • for their younger daughter, Jordan, who just graduated high school and will be begin a gap-year program in Texas in August…for her adjustment to life in America, and for direction for her life.
  • for their older daughter, Micah, as she begins her Junior year of college and is also seeking God’s direction for her life.
