The Centers form a unique international network of evangelical cult research and education agencies. Its main goal is to equip Christians in the developing world and post-communist nations for discernment, defense of the faith, and cult evangelism. While many ministries seek to fulfill this biblical mandate in North America, there are next to none in the regions CFAR serves. Their present focus is to establish a counter-cult training base in cooperation with Central African Baptist College that will influence Zambia, Malawi, Congo, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia.

Please pray that God will:

  • provide the means to obtain a new (used) ministry vehicle for the Africa Centre for Apologetics Research. A reliable van is crucial to CFAR’s one-of-a-kind work in many ways: It carries staff and volunteers to university outreaches, training conferences for pastors, missionaries, radio recording, and more. (Uganda has no safe and dependable public-transit option.)
  • mightily use the ministry of CFAR Brazil director Joaquim de Andrade as he trains pastors in Guinea Bissau, West Africa (October 30-November 12).
  • open doors for CFAR Southern Africa to warn and train many university students in Zambia’s Copperbelt and other northern provinces. Students are susceptible to deception by cultic groups, and female students are easy prey for self-proclaimed “prophets” who exploit and discard them.
  • guide us in developing a new online small-group curriculum on biblical discernment, cults, and worldviews to equip Russian-speaking Christians across the former Soviet Union.
