Stef & Christy van Meerveld – Global Soccer Ministry – Dallas
The van Meerveld family changed ministries and locations this past summer, moving from Ohio to Dallas. Starting over is never easy, but God is already providing them with great opportunities to serve through local churches and community centers.
God has already started to open doors for us to be involved in soccer ministry here in the Dallas area. A friend of Christy and former high school soccer teammate now oversees a soccer ministry at a local church. She asked if we would be open to partner with the church and base our ministry out of its facilities. Another door opened to the refugee community through another local church. They introduced us to a refugee center that wants to use soccer as part of its outreach program. And through a local homeschool sports association we have been able to enlist some volunteer coaches to help minister to kids in these new ministry opportunities.
Pray for the van Meervelds as they continue to settle into the community and expand the reach of the gospel through soccer.
